No Baby Yet!

This week baby rancourt is 38 weeks.
Will had a nice four day weekend so we used the opportunity to get everything baby related ready to go. The room is totally set up, everything is washed, our bags are packed and now we just have to sit back and wait.

Here are some photos of baby R's new home. Ready and waiting for his or her arrival.

Also, in case anyone else thought there was no way my belly could get any bigger than the January 1st photo don't worry...it did!
38 Weeks - Dana took this photo on Saturday Jan. 12th at her parents house...
Will took this one the night after. I think the red shirt makes the
other look bigger but they are both pretty big bellies if you ask me!
So, stay tuned and we'll keep you posted on baby r's arrival!

January 1, 2008

Happy New Year everyone! I can hardly believe that this may be the last photo of my big belly or that baby rancourt will be here sometime this month. I do feel like I've been pregnant forever but it's more shocking that they baby will be here in a few short weeks. (If that...Will seems to think this baby is coming early...we'll see.) Baby R is now 36 weeks and this Saturday we reach 37 weeks at which point baby is considered full term. Anywhere between 37-42 (Yikes!) weeks is full term. At this point the baby is in the stage of putting on weight...I did my best to help with this over the holidays. Baby R should be about 6lbs and growing. The kicks have grown much stronger these days and I've been a little more uncomfortable lately. I'm still able to walk Bella but I haven't been working out in the morning recently.

Tomorrow morning I have my 36 week appointment and I'm going weekly now until the baby arrives.
Between yesterday and today we've gotten like 2 feet of snow. Will and I joke about how we missed winter in Virginia and now it's snowing buckets but it sure is pretty. And I am not allowed to shovel this winter so I have that going for me. You can sort of see behind me how heavily it was coming down today. I didn't think it was possible but I would say that this belly is definitely bigger than last month.

Things are close to ready for baby's arrival. I still have some laundry to do but I'm working at it. I also have one more trip to Babies 'R Us but with the snow the trip has been put off until this weekend.

Will spent some time on a very special project over the past couple weeks. With the help and talent of Adam Newton, Will made a changing table for baby rancourt.

Our last family photo with just the three of us. We had a nice quiet holiday and we all refrained from buying baby r any gifts this year.
